Asda Opticians and astigmatism/dispensing query?

Does anyone know if there is a maximum prescription, and in particular cyl that Asda opticians can dispense? I’m sure I read something previously that there was a maximum they could do but I can’t find anything now.

I need some new, reasonably priced glasses and Asda has been recommended but I have pretty bad astigmatism.

(Yes, I could ring them tomorrow but I want to know now!)

What's your cyl value?

I don't know about a max cyl, but Asda were able to do my very complicated lenses with double prisms, astigmatism, fairly badly short sighted and varifocal perfectly well

I think the worst one is -6.

Asda make my -10 prescription so you'll be fine

@CMOTDibbler how strong are your prisms? i have prisms and right now im stuck with the stick on ones as all my local opticians have said they dont go high enough for what i need

@CactusFlowers hhmm ok that is quite high. But surely they would just order the lenses in for you then. Might take a bit longer and cost a bit more if it's not from a standard supplier.
