BMW 2 series Gran Tourer

Just wondering if anyone had one and what they thought of it?
Got an S Max currently and it's nice to drive and spacious but want something less people carrier ish. Plus it's old and needs replacing
But we are a family of 6 so would need to use the third row seats when we're all in the car
Got a roof box so holidays won't be an issue space wise
Not sure whether to go for a petrol or diesel. Maybe petrol as we don't do that many long runs now we both mainly wfh
It will be second hand about 5 years old

I have a 2020 2ltr auto diesel one and I have worked my way through almost every people carrier available!

It is the best looking one I've had and has lots of toys and you definitely get the BMW quality.

It isn't as big as a C4 Picasso or grand scenic but the boot without the third row is still huge. Can easily put 1 third row seat up and still have good boot space.

Second row middle seat is not a full one but 3 people fit well despite this.

Third row is quite spacious but for smaller and shorter people.

Downsides are that the 2ltr engine is not as economical as previous 1.6ltr diesel people carriers. Also servicing is expensive unless you can find an independent with the right computer kit to reset the idrive system. No front parking sensors which for the price I was surprised at.

Would definitely get another one although they are now discontinued which is a shame.

Few and far between when I was looking and I had to travel to buy mine.
