Peri menopause and same sex attraction

Hello. So I'm 38 and I've always been a bit bisexual (i.e always had some same sex attraction but mainly attracted to and had relationships with men). But in the last 12+ months it's increased significantly and I'm wondering if this is related to peri-menopause? I have other symptoms as well. Has anyone else experienced this?

In a purely anecdotal way, I've noticed that hormonal changes can affect libido and make people cast their net of who they're attracted to wider or narrower. So when my children were babies, I spent a few years thinking I'd turned completely heterosexual. I remember the sheer relief of developing a crush on Brienne in Game of Thrones and feeling as though I'd got back a lost part of myself back. And a trans friend who had only ever been attracted to women started fancying men too after starting testosterone. But even without hormonal flux, I go through phases of being more attracted to one group or the other.

And I also think that society has changed to make it way more acceptable to date/be attracted to people of the same sex, so I'm very aware now of holding myself back a lot less than I did in the compulsory heterosexuality of my youth.
