Car mileage incorrect

So my car shows up mileage in KM (Kilometres) instead of M (Miles) and I have just noticed that the figure I look at and assume is my mileage is displayed in KM. When I have my car MOT’d I have noticed the mileage is always the figure shown but in Miles instead of KM. Now I’ve recalculated my mileage it seems my actual mileage is about 27,000miles instead of 46,000miles as was previously recorded on my MOT and so on. Is this a big issue and if so, how can I solve it and have the correct mileage listed on my car logbook/ MOT certificate and so on.

You will have to report it to the DVSA and have the proof of your mileage to show them and they can correct your MOT cert
