Any ideas how to remove the heads from these dolls?

So I can clean them up, give them new hair and clothes.

They're hot glued on & I've had the dolls in my freezer for a while to see if that loosened them a bit...I just broke the stick neck of one instead 🙈🤣

Any other ideas? Otherwise I might have to sew clothes onto them over summer 🤔

Hairdryer to soften the glue

Equiphant · 19/07/2022 20:56

Yes, heat

lucysmam · 19/07/2022 21:03

Heat can most definitely wait for another day 🤣 but I'll try it.

If I make holes big enough for their heads then their weird pipe-cleaner-ish bodies won't be properly dressed, I don't think.

Could you boil them? Either on the stove or leave them in a cup of kettle water.

Nail varnish remover will rub of the faces if you want to do that

lucysmam · 19/07/2022 21:09

Yes, I'll try that after work tomorrow.

I was planning to remove their faces, yes. & the odd scraps of hair that are left. Need to remember to get some thread out of the art cuboard tomorrow, for new hair.

Hot water made them much easier to take apart 🤣 I'm giving the one with a broken neck a soak too...maybe I can find some way to fix it

Ah great, do you have a hot glue gun to reattach them with?

lucysmam · 21/07/2022 18:14

I do indeed! I have all sorts stashed about the place 🤣
