Has anyone got one of these and would recommend? I keep umming and aahing over it.

I think if it’s as good as the reviews say then we will make the most of it but just worried it’s going to be complicated and just a waste of money.

Mine is coming on Thursday so I'm looking forward to making low calorie low sugar ice creams. I can eat the tub of halo or oppo a week easily and at £5 a tub for those brands , I'm hoping the machine will pay for itself at some point!

I know me too

part of me thinks is it too good to be true. A tin of pineapples just turns into gorgeous pineapple sorbet -I can’t believe it!

If you join one of the (many) ninja Facebook groups, they are raving about it!

I keep looking at this! My daughter is an ice cream nut, always asking for Ben and Jerry's.

My fear is it being a fad that end up in the cupboard in 2 weeks

I’ve ordered one! Rave reviews on Facebook pages and I think it will save money. 6 of us here who all love ice cream so I’m hoping if and when I master it we will save money

I hadn't heard of these until I seen this post and now, I think I need one

Looking through some recipes, I think you could make extra ice batches of the ice cream flavour at one time and keep in the freezer for a quicker ice cream flavour. You could probably do it with any of them actually. Since the job is on and your melting sugar anyway...
I say this because it seems like a lot of stirring in heated ingredients and 24hr advance prep

Did you see this recipe? Yummy!!

Got my Creami and really impressed. A bit difficult initially to get your head around but when we had it’s amazing.

made a protein ice cream which was just a protein drink frozen which turned out lovely and the chocolate ice cream is so nice. Makes quite a bit of ice cream for much cheaper than shop bought.

if you are undecided - it’s a big thumbs up from us!

Zombie thread but I've just got a.Ninja Creami too and I'm so impressed! So far I've only made apricot frozen yoghurt. I chucked a tub of Greek yoghurt and a few big spoonfuls of apricot jam, stirred it a bit and put it in the freezer. The next morning I processed it with the Creami and it tastes absolutely amazing - the texture is just like ice cream. I realised given the ingredients it would be perfectly legitimate to have it for breakfast do that's what we did with some chopped nuts and a bit of muesli on top. DH kept asking "are you sure this is healthy???"

Does anyone else who had one have any favourite healthy recipes to share please? I have tinned pineapple freezing at the moment. I've also seen a recipe with chocolate and avocado I want to try. Any other good ideas please?

Tonight I made pineapple sorbet with just a tin of pineapple in juice and a splash of milk. Lush. Anyone else?

My Dd was looking for one in the Amazon prime sale but in the summer but dithered too long. They seem to be out of stock everywhere but I managed to get one from a local store. That's the first Christmas present sorted!

Meadowdog · 05/11/2023 16:07

It will be a brilliant Christmas present, @Isabelle70!
