At work, I manage the finances for the “wellbeing” group alongside my normal duties. (EG the groups puts events on for staff, organises special treats/meals, dress down days, fundraising etc).
Technically I’m the “finance manager” or “finance officer” for the group. The thing is, I haven’t actually done that much with the group’s finances so far so it might be an over exaggerated title. I have helped with 2 minor events so far.
I want to apply for in internal promotion and mention what I have done so far with the group finances as it links in well with the job spec.
Is there a way to better phrase the job title “finance manager”, in a more accurate way? I don’t want to be side-eyed by anyone that knows me and sees my application as it’s an internal vacancy and they may think I’m lying 😬 I am more associated with my normal duties vs the well-being group.
