Can I use wet washing to cool the room a little?

I have a few loads of washing to do today.

I was going to brave the outside heat and hang them in the garden.

Then I thought if I hang them out in dd’s bedroom it might lower the temperature a tiny bit?

Worth a try?
Won’t work but no harm?
No, stupid, if anything it will make the room more uncomfortable?

Yes, I think it’ll work. I’ve heard of people soaking towels and hanging them in hotel rooms in Greece, Spain etc.
If you can put a fan on as well that will help circulate cooler air.

Put the fan behind the wet washing, that should work.
