Anyone shop with tesco? Can driver cancel?

I ordered a delivery from tesco for the first time ever and it could be changed up until midnight last night, due to arrive at 12 today. Woke up today to see that out of the 20 things i ordered 14 of them are not in stock and no substitution offered.. they are literally delivering a bottle of milk, a loaf of bread, toilet rolls, washing up liquid and some paninis!

If it had said out of stock when i did the shop last night I wouldn't have bothered, been charged £4 for pack/pick and another £4 for delivery as under £40.

No way to cancel in my account now, Can I refuse it when driver arrives?

You can call the customer service number and they can cancel it for you, especially as its down to their lack of stock.
I got a £5 voucher when this happened to me.

Just pick up the phone and speak to someone at Tesco

You can refuse the shopping at the door and driver will select "refused by customer at door" on their device.

But this won't cancel it, so you'll have to call the Tesco number you've got to cancel and get your refund.

They’ve always been helpful when I’ve called. They should waive the delivery fee
