Lovely restaurant with rooms

Anyone got any recommendations of somewhere delightful where you can have a really good meal and overnight stay?

It needs to be within roughly an hour / hour and a half of Marlborough.

I want the Newt in Somerset but can't justify the 4 figure price tag. Could just - possibly - run to the Hand & Flowers in Marlow but really I'd rather it was a bit less.

Not a special occasion as such - just need to do something nice for me & DH to compensate a bit for a stressy year.

Pig on the beach

Our go to is also one the the pigs. The cheapest is the one in Southampton which has some lovely restaurants about a minutes walk away if you don't fancy what they have and you can pop over to Cowes really cheaply.

Thirding the Pig suggestions. We had a really nice meal at Pig in the Forest at half term, and Pig on the Beach last week. For preference, I'd choose Studland, but either would be lovely.

The Ring of Bells in Compton Martin in Somerset is a nice pub with rooms. The vegan bits of the menu were really imaginative and well cooked.

We had a night at the Three Choirs vineyard near Gloucester, wine tasting and a lovely meal, it's Mediterranean style tapas based but big portions and the rooms all overlook the vineyard and you could be anywhere!! Fantastic breakfast as well, very relaxing!

The Beckford Arms in Fonthill Bishop. Just over an hour from Marlborough.

I've heard good things about this place - not too far from me.
