Inspired by another thread; can someone give me an iced tea recipe, please?

Maybe something fruity (if I could use fresh/frozen fruit to make a surup?)

Tia!

I didn't know there were actual recipes. I thought you just made the tea in a jug, bunged loads of lemon slices in it then put it in the fridge. I'm answering in case anyone comes up with an actual answer for you Grin

I just chuck tea bags and sugar in a jug of boiling water and add lemon and ice, maybe mint, when it's cold. Or herbal tea bags.
Google it and BBC have lots of alternative recipes.

Oh! In that case, I shall do that quickly, before heading to work to melt!

I expected there to be more to it so thought a recipe used by an actual person rather than from a website would be better 🙈

I am using up various fruit/herbal tea bags. Make a small pot of tea, brew for 4 minutes, take out tea bag, add a little bit of sugar, cool, decant into bottle and place in fridge or freezer. Earl grey is really nice with lemon.
I bought 2 packs of unwaxed lemons on special offer, cut them into chunks and froze them. They are handy to add to cold drinks along with or instead of ice cubes.

I put 2 mint or green tea bags in my big flask, and use a mug full of boiling water. Leave it til cold. Add cold water, ice cubes, frozen lemon slices maybe some sweetener and pop the lid on. Chilled ice tea when ever I want it!

I brewed a pot of coffee last night, for iced coffee today. Instant works fine though.

Love the frozen lemon idea. I'll be copying that.

Tbh the BBC recipe said to use 8 teabags. I used 4 and the caffeine hit blew my head off! Now I just use about 2 for a medium jug. I suppose it's just trial and error.
