When you go for a wee after swimming in a swimming pool....

...and the wee feels warmer than usual.

Is it because the swimming pool has heated up your internal organs inc your bladder and contents, or has the pool cooled down your body thus making the wee temperature feel warmer?

Always wondered this!

bloodyunicorns · 18/07/2022 20:23

Your skin is colder after being in cool water. That's why wee feels warmer.

pkcsg · 18/07/2022 20:24

I've never noticed this

The outside of you is colder.

The inside stays warm, that's why it feels warm.

TheCanyon · 18/07/2022 20:27

I've never noticed this but it's got to be that the pees warmer than your fanny? My kids are away to bed and I'm sitting in their pool atm, have the bladder of a toddler so I'll let you know soon enough.

Trying to work out the anatomy…

I’ve never been aware of the temp of wee, what skin is it hitting?! It just comes straight out!

Hugasauras · 18/07/2022 20:29

Ooh yes, it always feels super warm coming out after a swim!

Hellocatshome · 18/07/2022 20:31

I've no idea but just want to say swimming pool toilets are the worst. I'm always suspicious of the puddles 🤢

Simonjt · 18/07/2022 20:31

Your skin is cooler, for men your whole willy feels hot as the wee comes out, so you can feel it travelling down your willy.

itsgettingweird · 18/07/2022 20:31

I want to know why my bladder always seems full to bursting the minute I leave the pool Grin

Bringonsummer19 · 18/07/2022 20:32

It really can not cook your internal fluids in a normal heated pool, the temp would have to be very hot for this to happen

Knowing this has made my day, thank you!

My internals are fairly tight 😳it definitely hits some interior walls.

I thought your title was about peeing in the swimming pool and all these people were agreeing that it feels hot! I was so disgusted!!

Then I read the title again!

So if its because you are cold coming into the changing rooms and the hot wee feels so strange....
then on a cold day when you've been outside and playing in the snow etc, it doesn't do that?!!

Yes! This is such a good point. It's specific to swimming pools.

So women's health agree with my toasting-you-up-from-the-inside scenario www.womenshealthmag.com/fitness/a19937219/fitness-questions-answered/

Why are the changing rooms always freezing when you get into your cossie, but like a furnace when you get dressed again?!

I get the desperate for a wee thing if I have a long bath too - I've decided the water on the outside is equalising pressure with liquid on the inside... or something...
