Done to death, I know, but Shein returns?

Lots of threads about Shein over the years, but I was hoping for some recent experiences please?

I want to place an order for about 15 items. Have never ordered before, and highly doubt I'll keep everything, but there are some horror stories ( as well as good ones!) about the returns process from the UK. (Hidden taxes / extra postage / customer services ignoring comms and money being lost)

Does anyone have recent personal experience of the returns process. Is it worth it for cheap, fast fashion?

No lectures please! I'm on a really tight budget :-( I know it's so unethical

Hiya!

No shaming here - I've ordered quite a few things from Shein, being plus-size my options are somewhat limited and they have an amazing curve range.

The first time i returned something when i completed the returns form they actually refunded me without me having to send it back! I googled it to see if it was a scam of some kind and apparently they do it quite often as it's not worth their while to process some returns.

The second time i had no problems and no hidden charges, received the refund within a few weeks. Hope that helps!

No lecture but a suggestion to try depop and vinted if you’re on a budget instead (because, yes, it is unethical).

Returns on clothes all fine, never any issues. Animal clothes and homewares aren’t returnedable but each listing states if this is the case. Try code DXDDY for money off. Never pay for shipping guarantee

But by the time you’ve paid postage and buyer protection fee on Vinted and not being able to return items you can see why someone with a limited budget can’t use them

It is so easy. You wait till the whole order is delivered (I have it sent to go outdoors pick up point as I don't trust hermes to deliver it) then go into the app, tick the items you want to return, select the reason why and attach a picture if faulty. Choose how you want to send it back, I use royal mail, they send you a QR code to save on your phone. Tape up the package and take it to post office where they scan the code, slap on a sticker and give you a receipt. You get the money back about a week later. I return loads of stuff if it doesn't fit. Never had an issue.

They also have tiers of customer depending on how much you use them and tier 2 and 3 customers they refund before they even get the stuff back as they presumably know you're good for it.

Shein often delivery things separately even if it's from the same order so wait for everything to arrive before you report to them what's going back and then send everything in the one parcel. That way you won't be charged for returning it

That's all really encouraging - thanks you.

And when my situation improves, I'll try and be a better person, I promise
