Osmo Genius vs. Little Genius?

Does anyone have Osmo for their child/ren and can you help me decide which level would be best for my son?

We’re looking to get him a tablet for his 4th birthday.Have just seen Osmo advertised and it looks right up his street. They do a Little Genius pack for 3-5, and a Genius pack for 6+. He’s a talented mathematician (not a stealth boast, he’s being assessed for ASD and has numerous challenges) and can do his times tables up to 12, addition and subtraction of three digit numbers, simple division etc. He can work through a workbook for 5-6 years with ease. He is starting to read simple words and has a good grasp of phonics.

i don’t know whether the games aimed at a younger child will be too basic for him. But then I also don’t want to get him something too difficult that he will get frustrated with and bored.

Just found this to look at game recommendations as we have Osmo.

Although he might like them, the Little Genius Starter Kit is quite basic. We bought it for DD when she turned 4 and I'd say it's good at getting them to make things (eg, a house) from the shapes at hand. There's also a dress up game, alphabet game, stories and probably a few more that no longer get played but it's served very well for over a year.

DD is 5 and we're looking at the next level up (6+ or something different like the pizza game which includes money management). If your DS is doing well with maths, I'd go with 6+. You might want to look at the numbers or words games specifically.

My DH was initially against buying Osmo but thinks it's been worth every penny so far as it's got DD thinking logically and she also chooses to play it without any encouragement.

I hope that helps!
