Can I use a Bloody Mary mix to make pasta sauce

Is this insane? I’m out of any fresh/tinned/passata tomatoes. I have a bottle of this. Ingredients say it’s tomato juice from concentrate (hmm), spices, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar and sugar. Would be cooking it with onion, celery, carrot, basil, Parmesan rind etc.

Tell me I’m not crazy.

I don't see why not. It might taste a bit strange. Is it just the mix, no alcohol?

Yes haha surely it’s more concentrated that normal tinned tomatoes?
you could mix some with water and cornflour maybe?

or just make yourself multiple Bloody Mary and leave the family to make their own dinner whilst you have a lovely evening

Yes no alcohol. It proudly states it will make the best Bloody Mary ever every time. So surely a decent sauce?

I’ve got my celery stick ready to chop so it’s halfway to being a Bloody Mary already 😄

I would, but probably would make pasta bake, not pasta with runny sauce.
