How many personal (non work) emails do you get a day?

Mine are never-ending, I reckon I get 30 - 40. I've started making filters now to hive them off in different directions. How about you?

1 or 2. Depends if I've signed up for stuff and I might get a flurry through but I usually unsubscribe as much as possible.

Very few. I am fairly rutless with unsubscribing now after spending the majority of a day unsubscribing to the majority of the emails I used to get a couple of years ago. Some of the advertising I was subscribed too made it quite complicated to unsubscribe. You had to take multiple steps and untick boxes.

i get about 400 a day.

I keep separate email accounts for this reason.

most of those emails go to the account that I use for giving to websites and companies. I only check that account if I need to check the status of an online order or I need a coupon code.

I have another account that I use for my daughters school and activities. That one goes directly to my phone.

I have another account that I give out only to close family and friends for personal email. That one also goes to my phone.

finally I have an account that I use if I am selling something online or need to do something in particular. This one I don’t normally have linked to automatically notify me of messages, but I can change that setting temporarily if needed.

Most for shit I've forgotten I signed up to and then unsubscribe, then school comms and advertising from stuff I did sign up to.

Hundreds in my competitions one. Very few in my main one which I'm ruthless about!

Almost no 'real' emails maybe up to about 5 a week, mostly orders for things I've bought, bank statement notifications etc.

Plus the inevitable 'we don't give a shit about GDPR so will spam you daily because you looked at our website 6 months ago' marketing crap that I never look at.

Annoying because some of the real order receipt emails get lost within them.
