Dd(17) horsefly bites ( warning pic!) what can we do to ease it!

Dd(17) was at a camp yesterday and came home today covered in what i think are horsefly bites.

we have given her an antibistamine and we are trying to cool her leg but i have no idea how to ease it!. It seems to be multiple bites all over her arms and legs. Ive added a pic of the worst two areas in case im wrong about it being horseflies!

I once spent a week at deer park forest in Cornwall and I was what felt like attacked by a gang of horsefly. I was covered in them and they kept coming back. Was terrified to leave my lodge and it ruined the holiday. I swelled up bad, ended up with severe cellulitis and needed antibiotics. They seem to take longer to heal than other insect bites. The only think that stopped the itch was ice cold camomile lotion, went through bottles of the stuff.

Pierre d'alun stick, run it under the TAP and then over the swelling. Makes it go down.

Cetrizine is Non Drowsy. Piriton on the other hand.....
