Can you name this Artist (painting)?

Wise wide world of Mumsnet, when all else fails, I know I can rely on someone on here to know the answer.
Who is the Artist who painted this painting?
I've had a reverse image search for the photo, had a look at Paul Klee, Kandinsky, Duchamp. But can't find out what it is.

I don't recognise the specific painting, but the style looks very like Ben Nicholson. There were lots of people doing similar things around that era, though, so I am not sure it is him.

Could it be a Mondrian?

My thought was one of the Suprematists (Malevich and his crowd) -- but a fair bit of art in film/TV is made or commissioned by the set designer especially if the originals are in copyright!
