So I'm a single mum to a 5 and 2 year old and I'm just really struggling with the age gap atm.
Don't get me wrong I love them both completely, they are amazing and wonderful... but literally everything is difficult.
When DS2 was born I was going through a pretty difficult time with ds1 who was a tricky toddler. He's grown into a wonderful 5 year old who I'm so proud of! But now he's snapped out of it DS2 has snapped into it 🙈
Took them both to a big park today and one ran one way and the other the other way. DS2 wouldn't stop wandering off and ds1 just wanted me to sit and play.
Anyway, it ended by my horrendous multi tasking meaning that when I spent 2 mins playing with ds1, DS2 went up to another child and threw sand in their face!!!! Obviously immediately collected them both and left. Ahhhh!!!!
I have a close family but tbh they aren't that supportive. I do most things on my own!
Please feel feel to come and rant judgement free or pass on any words of wisdom ♥️

I don't go to the park anymore- it's too difficult. Our playground has multiple exits so it's just not possible to watch everyone at the same time and they've different interests (1,3,6) but since the eldest is in school play dates are great. Also since the middle one got good on the scooter/bike it's also easier to go places. But they both like playing in the garden with water and sand and load of different things so I focus on that.
