School trip, theme park my kids are going to is forecast to hit 38 degrees with a red weather warning...should this still be going ahead or would you expect it to be cancelled?

I'm sure it will be cancelled.

WinterMusings · 16/07/2022 21:27

I t should be cancelled, but I wouldn't expect a school to cancel it.

my kids would be staying home if it wasn't cancelled though.

ClassSize2022 · 16/07/2022 21:28

Yep cancelled

Riverlee · 16/07/2022 21:53

Cancelled. Red weather is threat to human life, even healthy people.

Thethingswedoforlove · 16/07/2022 21:53

I’ve been to a big theme park in California where it gets even hotter than that. But they are properly geared up for it. I wouldn’t want to risk one in the U.K. tbh

TheFairyCaravan · 16/07/2022 21:54

Cancelled.

id keep them at home if it wasn’t

bellac11 · 16/07/2022 21:54

What sort of theme park and where in the country?

Echobelly · 16/07/2022 21:56

Yes, should be cancelled - it would mean a lot of standing for long periods, likely without shelter and people unable to get drinks easily if they run our while queueing, so pretty riskyl

LouScot · 16/07/2022 21:58

Cancelled. Irresponsible of school to go ahead in a red warning area when met office advice against it. We pay attention to them for wind, rain and snow so very stupid if school ignore heating my opinion

Sofiabella · 16/07/2022 21:59

School have text today to say it's going ahead just wear hat, suncream etc. Kids really want to go but I don't feel comfortable. Was really hoping school would cancel.
