My 3 week old has 'failed' 3 hearing tests. One at hours old, 5 days and 3 weeks. 3 week was a referral at audiology. Audiology have said no response from either ear and although no official diagnosis have said my daughter has hearing loss but they don't know to what level. Could it be temporary? She is being retested again at clinic in a week or so and they have spoken about trying hearing aids. Could her hearing change as she gets older? She has responded to loud sounds before I.e loud bangs.
Also, some people have failed at audiology and then had several further tests and 'passed'. I feel so confused and anxious but know she will be fine whether hearing loss or not.
Any advice is appreciated.
