I've had this for 3 months now, following a very stressful period, and it's driving me nuts. I just want to "come back"!

Bless you, it's a nasty thing to experience.

I recovered. Mine was linked to PTSD. When I got successful treatment for PTSD the rest went away as well.

I have had it twice, both episodes for about 3 months. It happened to me during periods of high stress and I was getting panic attacks, it was the panic attacks that triggered the DPDR. Its your bodies ways of protecting you for what it perceives as your impending death, by shutting you off to it.
I found just going out and walking in nature helped the most, its also best to try not to think about it (easier said than done) and just try to carry on with normal activities as much as possible. Look at ways to physically deal with anxiety, so you can do stuff.
Focussing on the sensation of it will just trigger more anxiety and keep you trapped in it.
You have my sympathies DPDR is horrendous and hard for people that have not experienced it to understand.
