Wasp help

My fear of wasps seems to be getting worse , and right now baby is desperate to go out and splash in his little pool and I have attempted a couple of times but retreated to the house as the wasps seem to be obsessed with being around the water.

Short term does anyone know any effective wasp repellents I can use to keep them away ?

Long term - has anyone had any treatment to help them overcome a fear of wasps and did it work?

Thanks!

Could you get a large net to put around the pool? In terms of getting over the fear, have you read up on wasps? Sometimes learning about something we fear can help some of the anxiety away. Do you react badly to stings? If not, just make sure you have sting relief medication in the house, to help reassure you that should the worst happen, you’d be able to treat your DC or yourself. Another treatment suggestion is hypnotherapy. My brother had it for anxiety and it helped.

If you can get some citronella candles or diffusers you can have those outside to repel them.
