Single people on here - if you had to choose one of the two...

What would you choose?

1 - a decent partner
2 - a really good bunch of single friends

Neither! I'm quite happy with my own company

But .... it would be the latter

TreePoser · 15/07/2022 11:46

2 definitely
I don't mind being single but I could do with a group of friends who knew each other. I have friends, but they are all my friends and not necessarily known to each other.

Need that ''tribe'' I keep reading about!

NashvilleQueen · 15/07/2022 11:48

2 although I don't need my friends to be single just because I am. Just good friends will be fine.

Allicando · 15/07/2022 11:58

Number 2 I have no desire for another partner even a decent one!

TheNestedIf · 15/07/2022 12:46

1, although I'm also fine completely on my own.

Partner. I have great friends but miss the romance and love.

2... They don't necessarily need to be single as long as we have each others backs!

TheFormidableMrsC · 15/07/2022 14:03

Definitely 2 and I have that already.

2, but they don't have to be single, all but one of my friends are married

pastypirate · 15/07/2022 14:11

2 in a heartbeat

Hdhabvdhhebsb · 15/07/2022 14:12

2

MinglingFlamingo · 15/07/2022 14:15

Ooooo good question

I flutter between the 2. Some days I'm like I just want a decent chap in my life the next day I want the latter.

At the moment it's option 2

MinglingFlamingo · 15/07/2022 14:16

Option 1 even

  1. I've been single with a good group of mates but it's not the same. Although JUST a partner would drive me a bit doolally
bluekostree · 15/07/2022 14:38

Too hard to chose. I'm lucky I have both. I'd find having a partner (no friends) all encompassing and boring (sometimes). I have many single friends (coming up for 40) who say they're not actively trying to find a partner- they've great careers, lovely homes, brill friends, amazing social lives, travell etc. Suppose it's swings and roundabouts. It's harder meet a partner than friends from what I've seen.
