Instagram-wrong country

For the last few days, I've been flooded with adverts from a country I have never visited on both Instagram accounts I have. I don't understand how this has happened. The country isn't a neighbouring country to anywhere I have ever visited either
At first I thought it was a one off random error, but now it's getting a little annoying...anyone able to help me resolve this issue?

I kept getting messages from IG telling me that someone was using my account in countries I'd never been to or anywhere near.

I changed my password , which, strangely, proved much harder to do than I'd anticipated.

I would change password and make sure two step authentication is enabled. Radio 4 have done a lot on Instagram fraud/scams. I can't remember how people gain access but definitely seems a thing at the moment.
