This is in the middle of DH's back I thought it was a wart (DD has lots), but I'm not convinced it is.

DH has 100s of moles all over him, is fair with blonde hair and blue eyes, but his skin tans darker than mine and he used to sunbathe without suncream and has done so since a teen (now 51). I'd never have noticed, but he was itching there and asked if he something crawling, which is when I noticed it.

I’d be forcing him to gp to have that looked at, or submitting photos to them online.

Thank you, I had a feeling it wasn't a wart.

Same as others. That needs looking at within the next couple of weeks.

Badtasteflump · 13/07/2022 20:36

Absolutely agree with previous posters - GP appt asap.

TheLovleyChebbyMcGee · 13/07/2022 20:37

Yeah I'd want that checked I'm afraid!

CrispsnDips · 13/07/2022 20:40

I had something like this and they called it a seborrheic keratosis, also known as basal cell papilloma. The Dermatologist told me that it wasn’t harmful. I could have paid to have it removed privately but it eventually scabbed over and fell off, after six years 😊

FictionalCharacter · 13/07/2022 20:41

Definitely get him to see the GP and when he makes the appointment, say explicitly that it's a suspect mole.

overgrowngrass · 13/07/2022 20:44

Also think it's a sebhorreic (sp) keratosis but get it looked at.

buggeringbuggery · 13/07/2022 20:47

Thank you all. Have looked up seborrheic keratosis and it does look similar, but will get him to get it checked. He has a check-up with a nurse tomorrow, so will get him to mention it to them (will draw around it so they can see), as otherwise getting hold of a GP is impossible. Thanks again.

Has he had a complete body scan to check all moles as my dh had a few and after a scan has had a few removed.

buggeringbuggery · 13/07/2022 21:08

@junebirthdaygirl no, the GP has never been that interested in them. He has another one, I think is a cherry angioma, but this is the only one that looks 'different'. Will attach the photo of the cherry angioma (I think).

I think it’s probably a Sebhorreic keratosis too, (I have loads of them!), but best to get it checked out.
