Chicken Pox question

Ilovechocolatetoomuch · 13/07/2022 06:53

How quickly did the red spots turn into blisters or did they come up as blisters straight away?
I’m still trying to work out if it’s chicken pox or a very angry insect!
thank you

It could be 1-2 days but normally before turning into blisters you will find more red spots in the body, especially on the face.

1-2 days. We had 2 days where DD had just 2 spots before what had a full outbreak. Never suspected the 2 spots were CP until she was covered.

Our household is in the thick of it!

Both mine just woke with a few blisters, no marks prior.

They've multiplied like crazy within hours.

Both of mine had red marks that took 12-24 hours to turn into blisters. I suspected it with both as sons nursery was rife so thought we would get it at some point. My youngest has it now and again saw couple of marks and had a lot of blisters by the next morning.

I found 6 red angry spots yesterday, no more this a.m.

Sometimes kids only get a few spots with chicken pox. However when they have less than about 20 spots they may not have gained immunity, so could possibly get it again in the future. I know a few kids who this has happened to. I think in most cases of chicken pox, when they have a proper dose of it, that is no doubt.
