Anyone have any idea what size area an O2 mast might cover? I've had no internet access on my phone all day (unless I'm connected to WiFi). After doing all the usual checks I rang O2. They confirmed what I'd already checked myself and then eventually told me a mast was down in my area. I've been out an about today, travelling 3/4 miles in either direction from home at various points. Would the same phone mast cover that sort of area? I live in a city. The reason I'm sceptical is because my 24 month contract ended today - exactly 24 months today - is this just a coincidence... I thought O2 had terminated the service when I picked up the phone to them but they said they wouldn't do that and I just fall onto a rolling contract (which is what's happened in previous years tbf)
But... the phone mast nearest my home addresses being down yet me being out and about today in a city and having absolutely zero data usage all day also doesn't feel right. Any thoughts?
