Having a really rubbish day and feeling tired, hormonal and hot. Do other people get days where they feel like a failure and nothing seems to make it better?

My constant state of mind.

sleighbellsjiggling · 12/07/2022 18:36

Yes. All of the time and it's exhausting.

Sorry you're feeling that way too Flowers

MolliciousIntent · 12/07/2022 18:37

I found medication made a huge difference to this state of mind, for what it's worth.

I was raised to feel like I was a failure so I try really, really hard to remind myself I'm not.

Don't let the bastards win!

Sparklybutold · 12/07/2022 18:42

@Minimalme that's what I always say and 90% of the time it works

I take sertraline for the other 10% it is fabulous.

Do you have something in particular which you feel you've failed at op, or is it just a general sense that you are missing something?

Iguessyourestuckwithme · 12/07/2022 18:53

Yes but then I found out I had undiagnosed asd traits at 37 and my mother's voice telling me I was a screw up had something to argue with.

Still feel like a failure most days.

Slimemonster · 12/07/2022 18:57

Yes

Bookridden · 12/07/2022 19:00

Yes. I've got quite an ugly face and sometimes I'm ashamed of it. I'm also 3 stone overweight and embarrassed by that. But other times, I feel OK, and less embarrassed by my appearance. It does depend on a variety of factors I think.

Namechange192727171 · 12/07/2022 19:04

Ah yes.

Around 6 stone overweight, crooked teeth, oily skin and covered in stretch marks.

Also jobless (SAHM) and found uni too hard. No idea what to do with my future.

I am working on it all (slowly) currently have braces and lost a few pounds.

I know how you feel OP, hugs.

Yes when I reach this point I just stop what I'm doing and go to sleep. Always feel brighter in the morning.

LuckyLuckyWoman · 12/07/2022 19:06

I feel like a complete failure most days :(

I need to put my spade down and stop digging this whacking great hole I find myself in.
