Hopefully image will attach, I've got pain on the outside of my right foot and leg. Mainly around the nobbly ankle bit? But going up the leg too. I could almost scream with pain when I touch the nobbly bit. (Don't know what it's called.)

Have you knocked your ankle against something?
walked awkwardly on it?

cheeseisthebest · 10/07/2022 22:06

Nope. It just came on. I did have plantar fasctitis in my other foot which has finally improved after several months.

It's only a guess, but when something is wrong with the feet it will affect the way you walk causing an imbalance I wonder if it is strained ligaments caused by PF in the other foot A tubigrip type support would probably help

HippyChickMama · 11/07/2022 00:57

Sounds like peroneal tendonitis. Rest, ice and elevation and ibuprofen if you are able to take it should help. If not, physio, some outpatient physio departments accept self referrals. And the knobbly bit is called the lateral malleolus, the inner one is the medial malleolus 😊

I’ve got that exact pain on the knobbly bit, right ankle. I’d narrowed it down to most likely being the tendonitis that HippyChickMama mentions, but not sure what to do about treatment. It’s just the ankle bone, no problem with actual ankle joint or foot or leg.

Thank you, have put a support on. Feel like I've got a permanently buggered foot or ankle at the moment!
