Sick 2 year old advice

Hi, my DS who is 2 has been up all night throwing up, since 9pm last night. The last vomiting was at about 5.45 this morning.

He has had dry toast this morning.

This is my first child and first time he's been really sick so just checking - Should I continue with dry toast today or other foods? He normally has milk at bedtime but I'm worried about giving milk.

He seems on quite goodish spirits now and has asked to go to the park though it's reallly hot here.

I would stick with toast, digestive biscuits etc
Plenty of fluids, don’t let him glug loads just small sips
keep an eye on the nappies
i wouldn’t take him to the park though as running around in the heat might make it worse
hope he gets well soon x

We used to do BRAT diet for a day or two after sickness - bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast.
Plus cordial with a spoonful of glucose in.
No idea why....handed down in our family as post illness parenting!

48 hours at home before he sees anyone else or goes out, including to park - he's still contagious.
