Help with fine motor skills

5 year old DS is behind with his fine motor skills
i can't get him to do the usual things to help him- play doh, Lego etc he just asks me to make things from the play doh so he can use them in a game, and with Lego he just wants to take the little people and use them on games rather than build anything
he won't draw or colour or anything, he's just not interested.
does anyone have any other ideas that might interest him?
He's generally fairly uncoordinated so I think it's just something he really struggles with so that puts him off

Would he like baking? Kneading pizza or cookie dough will help strengthen fingers.

Threading things? Is school helping? DS is exactly the same but school did something each morning and he would engage in the tasks there

How about something with tweezers? You could use pom poms or maybe some smarties or similar to really motivate him.

We faced such problem. But we did it. Lure him with a game or some other fun way to cut or sculpt something. You can do this right in the game so that he does not suspect anything. I take materials from wunderkiddy.com/. This is a activity sheet preschool that helps a lot with the development of the child.
