Vitamin D supplement recommendations

Last winter DD had really, really low Vitamin D levels. The GP gave her a couple of prescriptions to boost her back up and said that she should take a good quality Vit D supplement from October throughout the winter. I know not all supplements are equal in what they deliver. Are there any that you would recommend?

Many thanks in advance.

I’m interested in this too as I’ve taken a supplement for ages yet my results have come back low?

@crosshatching when my gp was recommending something for my son, she suggested the sprays from Holland and Barrett (you can get them other places too), I think they are called Better You

Vitabiotics are good. But if your daughter is school age then she should get it on prescription. I take a lot of meds and have a pre-payment certificate - I take 4000mg Vit D daily (the max dose) and get it on prescription as otherwise it'd be too expensive.

Thank you all. I'll look into the spray and keep a close eye on her this winter.
