The pill and libido

Has anyone been on the pill and it hasn’t killed their libido? If so which one? Years ago I was on cilest and my sex drive vanished. Want to go on it again for various reasons but don’t want to lose my high sex drive!

For me all hormonal contraceptives kill mine. Hopefully someone will have a more positive experience

Been on Microgynon for 2.5 years now and it's killed mine.

Sorry, not much help, just my experience with one!

Nope. It killed mine.

It's the main reason why I'll never go back on it.

Have been on numerous different pills and had this issue but currently taking Rigevidon and libido is fine. I know others have had different issues with Rigevidon though so worth a chat with your GP beforehand

I was on microgynon and it killed mine. Both DH and I were surprised when I came off it!

Ah that’s not good! The pill is a nightmare for it. I would like to go back on it for the convenience of skipping periods if need be etc but have a new partner and don’t want to kill off my sex drive. Like others I love being off the pill as I just feel so much better mentally and emotionally. Was hoping there was maybe one that wasn’t so bad

Literally lying in bed having lost count of the number of nights I’ve lay here willing myself to make the first move to initiate something and I just don’t want to. Absolutely zero interest whatsoever! Feel like I can’t just continually leave it like this though. Been back on the pill since my baby was born last year but I’m thinking of trying natural cycles instead now. Mainly only because if I do accidentally get pregnant now it’s maybe a few months earlier than I’d like but would be fine. I hate the thought of not choosing when my period is though

Mine died years ago and I wasn’t on the pill (i was sterilised)

now im back on it. Still dead

The mini pill (progesterone only) is known to kill labido, only time in my life I completely lost mine, also had a friend who nearly left her husband, changed pill, sex was back on again and saved them
