Lump in armpit

I have a small pea sized hard lump in my armpit. The hospital today have fast tracked me for an underarm and full body scan to check for Lymphoma. I'm petrified. Has anyone else had this? Is it standard? The nurse also said I had a slightly low blood count which could be an indication of cancer. I've cried all afternoon 😢 😭 😪 I just wondered if anyone else has been in this situation or has any advice please?

I don’t think anyone can give you answers at the moment but we are all here for you. Rationally, you have found it and so it’s now being assessed, if you hadn’t found it you could have got far more unwell

no matter what comes you are already on your path to recovery, there will be tough times potentially but people here will always offer you support even if we can’t physically help

I've had them a few times, and all times they've been abscesses

I had the same and it turned out to be a fatty nodule that eventually disappeared.

You're doing the right thing getting it thoroughly checked. Try not to worry as you're in the hands of the experts now.
