I have been feeling unwell all week. Really exhausted and can barely do anything . I thought maybe my ME was playing up but yesterday evening I started getting headache and within half an hour it turned into the worst migraine I have ever had. I felt sick, dizzy and my nose felt like I'd been punched. I took a co codamol abd went to bed with a cold flannel on my head. This morning I'm feeling fragile. Since I've bever had it this bad should I check with the doctor? Don't want to bother them but I've honestly never had head pain that bad. I can't think straight 😕

Have you tested for covid? If it doesn't feel right for you then definitely see a doctor. Hope you feel better soon x

I tested for covid last week and was OK. If I can get hold of a test I'll do another one though. Hopefully not covid as I've had it 3 times already 🙄

Yes, rule out Covid and see the GP. Codeine is useless for migraine ime. The doctor can prescribe a triptan which you take at the onset of a migraine. It usually works in around 20-30 minutes. Yes you can feel washed out afterwards, but the effects of migraine are much worse.

if you also read up on taking aspirin when a migraine starts as that can help. I take aspirin and my prescribed medication. As the poster above says, you can feel wiped out after. I often do and I have massive carb cravings.
