What tog quilts are people in their 80's using on their beds now please?

Our in-laws haven;t been to stay in a long time,( covid, house move to a smaller place etc nothing sinister). I bought two new quilts yesterday of 4.5 tog- they have to have separate single beds. Now I wonder if 4.5 is too cool for them. Or even too hot, as I'm in a 1 tog ( hot flushes etc so hot and cold through the night). Hubby has a wool quilt that has no tog and he has the same one all year round. What are most people of my in-laws age using now please? In the south, nearish to London by the way. Many thanks!

My parents (60s) use 13.5 tog all year round 😳I do not!!

My grandad in his 80’s uses the same 8 tog all year round, just adds an electric blanket in the winter and additional blankets on top as he feels the cold. Well he did, I keep forgetting he died last week.
i use a 12 tog all year round and just kick it off if I get too hot (hardly ever). No inclination to be chopping and changing and storing different duvets in our climate when it’s roasting and then freezing in the space of a day.

So sorry about your loss, @TheChosenTwo .

Thanks for giving me your answer. I'll stick with the quilts I've got. And I feel really silly for even worrying about it now. You've put it all in perspective.

Thanks @Liz1tummypain - keeps taking me by surprise when I pick up the phone for our little nightly chats.
but yeah, I think you’re right to just stick with what you’ve got!
