Has anyone flown out of Stansted on Ryanair recently?

are there delays, slow queues, baggage problems? Like many this is a long LONG awaited holiday and I’m shitting myself something will screw it up.

I am about to do this too, and was wondering the same.

We flew out last Tuesday morning and returned early this morning, both journeys were the smoothest airport experiences I’ve ever had and I’ve travelled a fair bit. Well, other than me forgetting to take my Swiss Army knife off of my house keys that were in my hand luggage.

I flew from there the week before last. There were hardly any seats (in fact none free ) and there were queues at all the eating places. It was not a great experience. Sorry.

Queuing to eat I can handle, we’re going earlier than we would normally to allow for problems

I did at the end of June, and we had no issues at all.

I flew with Ryanair from Stansted this morning, to Italy, and it was totally fine. Slight delay in boarding and taking off - maybe 20 mins. Otherwise all spot on.

We only took hand luggage so no idea re baggage checkin queue tho.

OP when are you travelling? If it is outside school holidays and weekends, I'd expect it to go better.

Bunnyfuller · 05/07/2022 22:59

25 July. We wanted to miss the school hols but DH had a trial (and of course defence postponed on the Monday of the trial ffs).

so first day of school hols. Eek. First world problems I know.

I flew from Stansted to Dublin last month, with Ryanair for the first time in decades & was pleasantly surprised. The queue for security was long but moved quickly. I checked in online, had carry on luggage & followed the recommended airport pre flight arrival time. There were no flight delays on the outward or return journeys.

Watching with interest as I am flying to Italy early on Saturday morning. Have never flown Ryanair or from Stansted before..

loadypoady · 06/07/2022 04:56

Our recent experience was the Ryanair bag queues were long for both checked in and self check in. We went with the self check in and it moved pretty quick. Security also long queues but well organised and took around 40 minutes to go through.
This was early on a Saturday morning outside of school holidays. Allow 3 hours before your flight as current advice.

JangolinaPitt · 07/07/2022 22:19

Friend flew out today lunchtime no problem, breezed through 15 mins firm enervating terminal to being thru security (she had fast track) and plane took off 10 mins late and caught up en route.

JangolinaPitt · 18/07/2022 10:50

Probably old news now but am just k from my trip and both flights (both Saturdays) were absolutely fine and Stansred was very civilised.

We have flown to and from stansted with Ryan air in recent weeks. No great delays going through security ( You can pay for fast track with Ryan air but we didn't need it )

The only problem was no where to sit but If you have the Ryan air app they tell you quite a way in advance what gate you will be going from so I walk down there and there are usually more seats available there than in the main airport.
