Free kids tracker apps?

I want to put a tracker app on DDs phone (iPhone), she's starting secondary school this year and has to get a bus to the next town/county to get there, plus walking a good mile from home to the bus station and back! It's not a specific school bus either, I'd just a general bus. She still seems so young and I'd like to have the peace of mind of knowing she gets there okay etc.

There are lots of tracker apps but they all have subscription charges, with bills going up all the time, a subscription to something is just not something extra we can afford.

I used life 360 for ex dp to track me a few times and it was great. (Missing women in the area and I was scared, not as weird as it sounds)

Do you have an iPhone too?
You can share locations through find my phone.

Family link on Android. Manages apps, allows you to set on/off times, tracker. All free.

If you are on Android you can set up Family Link and track her through that. You can also control phone usage.

Or just use Google maps. That's what we do now DD is older.

You can share your location on Google maps, she would just need to turn it on and share with you when she's leaving home/school.

We use find my phone on iPhone.
