Sick of white wine and don't drink red. Its my birthday at the weekend and I fancy a crisp easy drinking Rose for dh and I to sip in the garden. Budget £10 max but less if possible.
Any recommendations?

A nice pale rose - cote de Provence

A good place to start! Being more specific I would go for any of the Var region rose, very pale and dry. Forget the weird new world neon pink sweet stuff supermarkets insist on selling and that 'Whispering Angel' is massively overpriced.

Personally I would go for:

Château La Gordonnne

or any of the stuff around Pierrefeu-du-Var which is pretty much the capital of the Var wine region.

Barefoot pink moscato. My absolute favourite 😍

La Belle Angèle from Majestic is lovely and quite reasonably priced.

Avoir Bandol, was brillant in the 80s, but last time I tried, Listel was better.

If you prefer dry then look for a pale coloured French rose. I can't bear the white Zinfandel stuff as it's far too sweet for me, but some people love it!

I'd really recommend this one as well

I know you said a tenner but this is really a lovely rosé and it often comes on special for under £10.

If you're feeling flush Minuty is lovely fresh and crisp

Oooh thanks! Just read reviews on some of these. Think I will splash out on the Waitrose one!

MiP (Made in Provence)

Kylie Minogue's is really nice. Whispering Angel is twice your budget if you ever want to splurge.

JamMakingWannaBe · 04/07/2022 15:24

Lidl sparkling rose. Lush!

FrayedBentos · 28/09/2022 10:24

I sampled a glass(bottle)! Of Monte Carlo Blush Rose last night - v tasty.

The only thing missing, unfortunately I wasn’t in Monte Carlo when I did my er extended sipping!

Devonchills · 28/09/2022 11:39

Aldi do an amazing pale rose from the south of France.
It's called 'Cap d'agde' and it's absolutely gorgeous, about £7 I think.

Figgygal · 28/09/2022 11:41

I love a malbec rose
Literally any of them

bilbodog · 28/09/2022 11:59

My DD recommends graham nortons rose but havent tried it myself yet.

kierenthecommunity · 28/09/2022 12:02

Aldi Etna Rossato is my favourite - I consider myself as pushing the boat out for that as it’s nine quid 😂

It’s a nice dry one without being too acidic/harsh
