Sodastream

We drink 1l of sparkling water / day. 23p from Aldi (was 17p last month but that's another thread!). I know it'll cut down on plastic waste but will / can Sodastream be economically viable? The CO2 canister refills seem pricey

We got one to cut down on plastic and the canisters last us for ages.

I looked at this and will invest in a soda stream but it isn't economically sound on 2l a day. However it is not many pence( and I can't remember how many p exactly) a day to know that you are reducing your plastics waste.

We got ours almost new from Facebook marketplace for £20. Came with an almost full gas canister and 3 bottles, one of them is a travel bottle.

I expect it to be a short lived fad in this house but I like not wasting lots of plastic every day.

I like fizzy water but don't mind if it originates from the tap so our Sodastream is perfect. We've had it getting on for 10 years, I don't know about the economics but I like not lugging bottles and using plastic unnecessarily. As for still bottled water Shock

It is more expensive than the cheapest bottled sparkling water, we use ours a lot but we did it to reduce plastic and having to buy/store bottles. We probably drink 3l+ a day though. It is worth it but not if you need to reduce £
