Things you wish you'd complained about at the time

I wonder whether anyone else has things they wish they'd had the confidence/insight to complain about in the past...

Here's one that sticks in my mind and still makes me cross, so I'm writing it down to get it off my chest (pun not intended):

  1. I was a postgrad at a uni - hell, I'll name the uni - Uni of Birmingham. I had a baby. I had to bring the baby in when I met my supervisor. I went to the uni bar, and asked if it was OK to feed my baby in there. "Yes", the barman said, "of course". I sat in a corner and unostentatiously breast fed my baby. Barman came up and said "I didn't realise you meant THAT. You need to leave or stop". Apparently some men in the bar had "complained", and the barman agreed and asked me to leave - so I left, embarrassed. This was about 14 years ago, so hardly in the dark ages. How did I not think this was something to complain about, especially at a university??

Anyone else have anything they wish they hadn't just let pass, which they'd like to write down?!

My husband and I were on a city break in a hotel in Stockholm. At breakfast on the 1st day, the waitress assured me that the bread roll was gluten free (I'm coeliac). I asked 3 times and the third time she was rather shirty with me so I thought that perhaps GF bread in Stockholm looked and tasted better than any GF bread I'd bought in England. I ate it. I spent the next 3 days in bed and on the loo but felt too ill to complain and my husband didn't. When I got home, I was so severely dehydrated I needed to go to the doctor.

Not a massive one but today's little gripe was I paid for a caramel latte and only got plain my pregnant craving was not quenched but the queue was too much to bear.
