What's app question

Most people I know who call me on what's app use the audio function. The only person who uses the video function is one of my sisters when she rings me with her 20 month old because she knows I like to see the baby.

There is a bit of a family crisis going on within my wider family recently. One of my elderly aunts keeps video calling me for updates. I'm happy to speak to her but most of the time I'm not video ready! She called me today and I was having my Sunday afternoon nap so she saw me lying in bed.

Is there a way of switching off the video facility without actually blocking her. She wouldn't understand if I asked her not to video call and I don't want to upset her.

Put your finger over the lens and claim you don’t know what’s going on?

‘Miss’ the call and ring straight back on audio. ‘Sorry I missed you, I was in the loo’

Let it ring off and call her back on voice call. I don't accept any video calls unless I'm expecting one. Or if it's my DC.

I don't think there is a function to turn it off though.

Thanks for the replies. I thought there would be setting you could change. As suggested I'll just have to 'miss' her next call and call back on audio.
