Anyone else have no friends?

I am currently dealing with covid and it's brought it home to me just how lonely I feel. I was bullied horrendously at school which obviously addicted my self esteem, then for quite a few years I had good friends but we all drifted away. I also lost my best friend back in 2015 and another friend to suicide shortly thereafter, so I guess I'm still trying to come to terms with those losses

I'm long term disabled and unable to work but hope to take up volunteering for an animal shelter soon. I have joined various meet ups but it has never led to any long term friendships.

Does anyone else just find it very difficult to make friends as an adult?

Hello,
i think seeing/making/keeping friends depends on your circumstances.
you are probably feeling very low because of the covid.
get better first and then you can address the friend thing

Me. I joined the school PTA to try and meet some people (and help the school) but this morning my Facebook feed is full of a party they all seem to have had this weekend, that I wasn’t invited to. It’s stupid to be upset but I am a bit hurt tbh and am thinking of whether I keep going with it or just step down. There is obviously something about me that discourages people from making friends but I don’t know what it is. It’s hard.

When I developed a long term disability I found that a lot of people I thought were friends left my life. I've been pretty unlucky in friendship over the years, please know you're not alone because I see other people post all the time about this so it seems like it's a difficulty for many
