Full bottle of Calpol on Kitchen floor. Help!

My current trouble is pretty much in the title. I know there are worse problems but I just can't seem so get it off the bloody tiles.

So far I've tried Flash floor cleaner with boiling water and a steam mop, twice.

Anybody got any suggestions or do we just have to live with a slightly tacky kitchen floor?

Washing up liquid?

dementedpixie · 02/07/2022 10:03

Soapy water maybe. Cif cream

I’d say Jif but as Demented has reminded me it’s Cif! Should do the trick though

Don't use boiling water, it makes it less effective. Warm water and washing up liquid maybe, scrub it with a brush first then wipe up

I find alcohol gel helps remove the tackiness when something sticky is spilt. Rub it in to the areas then wash it off.

Thanks everyone. Will report back later! Wink

Wipe up as much as possible before you start... kitchen paper is your friend.

Then Warm water and washing up liquid ... might still be tacky afterwards so you should repeat a couple of times , then finish up with a floor wipe coated with a layer alcohol gel.

Think it might have been cleared up by now since it happened practically a year ago!!
