Sertraline

Docs put me on 50mg Sertraline. Took my first dose at 9.30 this morning and now I feel so sick. Not sure if it's related or just coincidence but wondering if anyone else who has taken sertraline has had the same thing? And so soon after taking it? (Started approx 2 hours after taking it)

It can cause awful heartburn, and/or nausea. Best to drink a whole glass of water when taking it, as I find it's really bad if I take enough to swallow, but don't finish a whole glass. Also eating something helps.

Yeah, it can do that. I echo PP's advice — drink plenty of water and don't take on an empty stomach.

It took me a couple of weeks to 'onboard' properly with sertraline. I wasn't feeling queasy every day though, that only happened the first day or two. Stick with it, you'll be reet.

Thanks I'm hoping to stick it out but I have a phobia of being sick (hence the username). But now I'm feeling extremely dizzy every time I stand up. Just googled it and it says that it can last 2-4 weeks. Not sure I can look after my little one on my own like this
