Busy gym people.. when do you fit it in?

So I'm currently trying to strength train 3 times a week and wanting to go up to 4 to see faster results.

I have a very full on job and hectic schedule and some evenings just feel exhausted at the thought of going. Lunch times work on occasion when not sandwiched either side my meetings but barely enough to become a routine.

I'm not really a morning person.. but, should I try to be because I guess mornings are never going to be blocked out with other priorities, and then it's done for the day before I'm too exhausted!

People who have a consistent routine and work full time.. how many days do you go and when/how do you schedule it?

I work from home and am fortunate that we have a gym set up at home so I normally train at lunchtime.

Pre-pandemic when I was in the office, I either trained early morning or straight after work depending on my schedule.

I’ve never enjoyed training in the mornings really, but it is nice to get it over with and then you’ve got the rest of the day/evening to do other stuff.

We’ve got a bit of a weight lifting support thread going over on ‘the weights room’ if you’d like to join too!

I strength train 3 days at 6am

Get up at 540am, in the gym by 5.55am

Home by 7am
Breakfast, kids sorted and I am at my desk by 730am

Roll out of bed at 545, class at 0600, the gym is less than minute from my house. Couldn't do it when the kids were young.

I'm another 6 am person. Up 520 (ideally - usually more like 530), leave 545, home by 710.

It's brilliant.

But, I don't get to bed early enough so am always tired!

I get up early twice during the week and then go at weekends as well

Saturday and Sunday early evening - kids tea time. And then Wednesday evening or daytime if I can. Plus loads of walking..

Thanks so much - seems working it into the mornings is probably going to be a good shout, maybe with the odd evening or lunch time where I can.

I'll check out the weights room thread as well.
