Buy cheap buy twice?

I have heard this many times and sometimes I absolutely agree, other times I have been caught out and the more expensive item has fallen to bits in a few days while the cheap item is still going strong.

What is your experience?❓

Expensive def doesn’t mean good quality. Clothing - even the more expensive high street brands - is not always long lasting. Often the threading comes loose. But sometimes it’s ok, there’s really no way of telling, unless you really look at the item very carefully before you buy.
I have found that sometimes cheap supermarket wellington boots have lasted longer than more expensive well known branded ones.
Cheap toilet paper is thinner so you use more. Cheap tins tomatoes are full of water so you end up using 2 tins when you’d use one of the more expensive brands, but they’re often more than twice the price so you have to weigh up the pros and cons.
Basically there’s a lot that’s really poor quality out there, you have to buy the best quality you can with your budget.
