What will I forget to do when relocating?

Just that, really!

We're relocating about an hour away from where we currently live.

The place is brand new to both of us. We've decided on a rough area but will be narrowing down that down as we do reccy visits.

If you've been through the relocation process before can you talk me through it?

What will I forget to do? What order should I do things in? My head is spinning!

Any help would be gratefully received! :)

Set up redirection of all your post via Royal Mail

Change your address for driving license, bills, car tax, pension etc

Redirect your mail. Register for new GP.
Write to everyone advising of address change. People like DVLA.

Notify your water company, your energy supplier, the local authorities with your moving date. Take meter readings on the day you move out, with photographs.

Yy to redirection, which should be at least 6 months.
