What to get for an ex’s 30th?

Long story short- we’re exes who go on holiday together (deffo not platonic and we still love each other) and he’s hitting the big 3-0 this year so I want to get him something good. I was thinking a pair of silver cufflinks personalised with the coordinates where he grew up and where we met and then a cutesy Latin inscription on the back (as astra per aspera). My friends can’t agree on whether it’s too cheesy or okay so I’m asking here :)
Also if anyone has any ideas for other cutesy Latin phrases then i’m all ears :)

We would be. But we live in different countries (UK and USA) so it would just be too difficult to maintain a full on relationship :/

You could still be in a couple even if you live far apart.. if it’s what you both want you could decide to make it work. Agree these don’t sound like presents for an ex! Sounds a bit like you’re living in limbo.. Xx
